In an otherwise fractious tale on who's not keeping up with the implementation of the Kyoto Treaty in Europe, we get this idiotic factoid (in bold):
"Under the Kyoto accord - which the United States first endorsed, then abandoned - the EU must cut its output of carbon dioxide by 8 per cent from 1990 levels by 2012. So far, emissions are down only 2.9 per cent."
Now how much of the remaining AP article can one reasonably believe to be accurate when this kind of crap is included? (Nothing that can't be second sourced! -Ed.)
