Kerry: Out of touch ...

... and out to lunch. John Kerry, speaking on Thursday from Davos, Switzerland called for the filibuster of Samuel Alito nomination to the Supreme Court. (via Hugh Hewitt)

Hugh suggests Kerry's ambitions might be getting the best of him. I think it more likely it was his way of trying to get his ski vacation extended. Talk earlier this week was that the vote could come tomorrow, though it was already announced by Specter earlier today, standing in for Frist, that the vote was set for Monday. Kerry must have lost his blackberry on the slopes and missed that news as well as the news of Bryd and Johnson defections from a filibuster quota.

The question now is whether Kerry will be back in time to register his speech before the vote.

Party hardy, John.
